Combined characters

In aboriginal designs, some characters were produced by press two symbols with the carrying in the aforementioned position. For instance, the assertion point, which shares a key with the character 1 on avant-garde keyboards, could be reproduced by application a three-stroke aggregate of an apostrophe, a backspace, and a period. A semicolon (;) was produced by press a breach (,) over a colon (:). As the backspace key is apathetic in simple automated typewriters (the carrying was abundant and optimized to move in the adverse direction), a added able access was to block the carrying by acute and captivation the amplitude bar while press all characters that bare to be in a aggregate position. To accomplish this possible, the carrying was advised to beforehand advanced alone afterwards absolution the amplitude bar.
